ABOUT MY INSPIRATION
From the age of five, my imagination was my sanctuary, weaving stories as I hid in closets, attics, and caves. Initially, these tales were my private refuge, shared sparingly. Now, it’s time to bring these stories to the world.​

To me, The Hollow Tube represents a realm of discovery. An escape from the mundane, a gateway to the unknown. In that dark labyrinth of my childhood, I discovered an instinct for survival. That experience ignited a lifelong journey of self-discovery and storytelling.

My stories are born from this profound journey, blending the extraordinary with the deeply personal, inviting readers into a world where danger and wonder intertwine.

Professional Path
DR. PATRICK N. BAYS
I graduated with honors from The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy and was awarded Senior of the Year. Four years later, I graduated as valedictorian of my medical school class and was named Outstanding Senior. My five-year orthopedic surgery residency focused on sports medicine, hand surgery, and trauma.

After completing my training, I honorably served four years as a decorated US Navy medical officer, providing services to the SEALS, Marines, fighter pilots, seamen, and indigenous populations in the Republic of the Philippines and Bremerton Naval Hospital. This was followed by a stint in entertainment medicine, where I provided orthopedic care to world-renowned performers and entertainers in Branson, Missouri.

Presently living in Seattle, I am on staff at UW Medicine Northwest Hospital and serve as a top medical-legal consultant. My extensive background in medicine, especially in high-pressure and critical situations, has undoubtedly influenced my writing, providing a rich well of experiences to draw from when crafting my narratives.
